“It is not only that there is water in the world, but there is a world in water. It is not just in water. There is a world of sentient beings in clouds. There is a world of sentient beings in the air. There is a world of sentient beings in fire. . . .
There is a world of sentient beings in a blade of grass.”

A fish swims in the ocean, and no matter how far it swims there is no end to the water. A bird flies in the sky, and no matter how far it flies there is no end to the air.
Life must be the bird and life must be the fish.
You can go further.
In the Onkaparinga River Recreation Park, the river spills onto the plains, creating wetland ponds and flood plains. The area conserves important fish breeding habitat and hundreds of native plant and animal species, many of which are rare. The Onkaparinga River estuary also provides habitat for endangered migratory birds
If you are a South Australian local and wish to contribute to the maintenance and protection of this important environmental location please consider volunteering via The Friends of Onkaparinga Park or get involved in nature conservation activities via the City of Onkaparinga Nature Conservation team
